Isaiah Hartenstein is a professional basketball player currently plays as a power forward/center in the NBA G League for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. His senior career started with representing Artland Dragons, a basketball club based in Quakenbr├╝ck, Germany in 2015.

His youth basketball career started at the age of 10 when his father moved to Germany. The season 2013-14 led him the Artland Dragons' junior team to a German championship in the Under-16 Bundesliga JBBL, while named as Most Valuable Player.

Interesting Facts

On June 22, 2017, he was selected with the 43rd overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft by the Houston Rockets and subsequently went to perform for the team in the 2017 NBA Summer League. Previously, he also represented team Germany at the 2014 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship and the 2015 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship. His father Florian Hartenstein is a German basketball coach and former professional basketball player. While his mother is an American, they both at the University of Oregon. According to sources, he is single and does not engage in an affair.

Later, on April 7, 2017, he scored 10 points and grabbed three rebounds in 19 minutes of play at the Nike Hoop Summit. As a team, he won LKL champion (2017) and winner of the King Mindaugas Cup (2017).
