Edward Michael "Bear" Grylls is a British adventurer, writer, television presenter and motivational speaker. He is globally recognized for his television series Man vs. Wild (2006–2011), originally titled Born Survivor: Bear Grylls in the United Kingdom. He has also appeared in several wilderness survival television series in the UK and USA. He is author as well and has wrote several several books.

Early Life (Childhood)

In childhood days, he was trained by his father in claiming and sailing. Later he turned into cub scout. He got education from 'Ludgrove School' and 'Eton College'. He is the one who, began the establishment of mountaineering club in Eton College. He graduated from the University of West of England. While in his youthfulness he trained skydiving and also got second dan black belt in Sokotan karate.

Grylls has a net worth of $10 million. He nakedly rowed in a homemade bathtub along the Thames to raise funds for a friend who lost his legs in a climbing accident. He and his friends crossed the north Atlantic Ocean, in an open rigid inflatable boat. He and team created a world record for the highest open-air formal dinner party, under a hot-air balloon at 7,600 meters (25,000 ft).

Personal Life

Grylls is happily married with Shara Cannings Knight in 2000. He has three sons with her. Reports said that he had desolate his young son, Jesse, on Saint Tudwal's Island along the North Wales coast, as the tide approached, leaving him to be rescued by the RNLI. The RNLI criticized and crew "had not appreciated" the incident.
