Early Life (Childhood)Born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England as Matthew David Lewis and raised in its town of Horsforth, he had his first acting role at age 5 in the 1995 film, Some Kind of Life. He has two brothers: Chris Lewis and actor Anthony Lewis.
Interesting FactsHe played Tower Block in the mini-series Bluestone 42 from 2013 to 2014. After he read the first book of Harry Potter, he would dress up as Harry and run around his room. This was before he got the part of Neville.
Personal LifeLewis is a vice-president of the Leeds Rugby Foundation charity. He has a tattoo of the number 11 on his right arm and clothing with the number 11 on it. Lewis has lived in London since 2015.
