He was born on 7th of June 1940 in Treforest, Pontypridd, Glamorgan, Wales. He was born to Thomas Woodward and Freda Jones. His father was a coal miner.

He released his debut album Along Came Jones in the early 1965. His next album A-tom-ic Jones was released in the early 1966.

Personal Life

During his late teens, he tied his married knot with a beautiful lady Melinda Trenchard. They got married in 1957 and this lasted till the early 2016.
