Early Life (Childhood)Born in Kashiwabara in a farmer family. After his mother's deatg at age he was taken care by his grandmother. Then his father remarried and he suffered, became alone and moody.
Interesting FactsAlso billed as Issa which means a 'a cup of tea'. Because of death of his first child he inspired to write haiku. He had written more than 20,000 haiku. He was also a painter.
Personal LifeIssa was married twice. Firstly he was married to kiku. Their both first and second children died. Again the child with his second wife also died. Later his first wife died because of illness.
