Who is Kiran Chetry

Kiran Carrie Chetry is a Nepali-born former American television broadcast journalist. She was a cable news anchor for CNN's American Morning till 2001. From 2001 to 2007 she reported and then anchored at Fox News.

Early Life (Childhood)

Kiran was born in Patan, Nepal. Seven months later her parents moved their new family to the United States. She grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland and attended Montgomery Blair High School there. She received Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from University of Maryland.

Interesting Facts

In 2006, Chetry made Maxim magazine's top ten list of TV's Sexiest News Anchors, placing third on the list: she was ranked as America's sexiest female anchor and the world's second sexiest female anchor.

Personal Life

She found her husband to be (Chris Knowles), while working for the WPIX-TV. where they turned their romance into marriage. But the relationship didn't go well and they got separated following her departure from CNN. Together they were parents of two children.

NETWORTH And ACHIEVEMENT

In 1997, she won Best Enterprise Reporting award for her series ‘Young and Hooked’ which is based on teen smoking. The award was given by Pennsylvania Associated Press Broadcasters Association. From the Association of Nepalese in America she was also honored with Making Our Mark (MOM).
