Who is John Popper

John Popper is an American musician as well as songwriter. He is mainly known for his role as harmonica, guitar and vocals in a rock band Blues Traveler. He is also known for the songs “Run-Around” and “Hook”.

Early Life (Childhood)

John was born in Chardon, Ohio and was raised in Stamford, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. He studied at Davenport Ridge School. He then attended the Stamford catholic High School. He then went to Princeton High School.

Interesting Facts

He is a gun rights activist. He follows Catholic religion. In 1992, his weight was 400 pounds. He then suffered a major heart attack and underwent a surgery in 2000. After 2000, he lost over 200lbs weight.

Personal Life

Talking about his personal life, he has many arrest history in past decades. He has a girlfriend named Jordan Allen. The couples together were expecting their baby, but they were not engaged.


In the year 1999 his album Zygote peaked at No. 11 at the Heatseekers chart. In the same year, his album Zygote peaked at No.185 at The Billboard 200 charts. He has won huge number fans from his talent.
