Who is Bon Scott

Bon Scott was the original vocalist of the world renown hard rock band AC\DC. He was the lead singer and lyricist of the band until his death. He was was a Scottish-born Australian rock musician.

Early Life (Childhood)

He was born in Forfar and lived in Kirriemuir, Scotland, for 5 years before moving to Melbourne, Australia, with his family in 1952 at the age of six. The family lived in the suburb of Sunshine for four years before moving to Fremantle, Western Australia.

Interesting Facts

A bronze statue of Scott singing on top of a Marshall amplifier was unveiled at Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour in Western Australia on 24 February 2008. Another statue was unveiled in Kirriemuir on 30 April 2016.

Personal Life

Scott was once married to Irene Thornton. He started his own band called The Spektors in 1996, which later combined with another band to create The Valentines. He worked with the progressive rock group Fraternity, a band that toured with Status Quo.

NETWORTH And ACHIEVEMENT

In 2003, Scott was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of AC/DC. More recently a new street in Kirriemuir has been named after Scott. Kirriemuir hosts an annual festival known as 'Bonfest' as a tribute to Bon Scott and AC/DC.
